Christopher Stanish, 24, is in his second year of theological studies at Sacred Heart Major Seminary in Detroit. The middle child of eight children, Chris has enjoyed the support of his parents in his vocational discernment. Following the example of Our Lady, Chris approaches the spiritual life and the vocation to the priesthood with openness and surrender to God’s will. He is a parishioner at St. Bridget Parish (Hobart). During this past summer, Chris served with the people of Holy Spirit Church (Winfield) in making God known in the community through various ministries. This September, Chris was instituted in the ministry of Lector, committing himself to proclaiming and teaching the Scriptures, making the Revelation of God known to others through the Word of God.
