Mission Statement

Lenten Reflections

March 27, 2017

Issiah 65:17-21
John 4:43-54

Jesus heals us. He heals in ways that sometimes we don’t even realize. It is very obvious in today’s Gospel reading. The boy is sick and Jesus heals him. Jesus sees the officials’ great faith and reacts to that. Of course Jesus’ heart is all about mercy and tenderness. He empathizes with the official. See, also, how Jesus was nowhere near the boy and yet the boy is cured.

God has promised resurrection to all. We will experience all the hardships of human life. But if our faith is strong, we shall live with him in the new Jerusalem where there will be no pain or sorrow as the prophet tells us.

Reflection questions:

  • What way or ways has Jesus healed you without you first knowing about it?

  • Do we truly believe that we shall live with God in the new Jerusalem?

Isaías 65: 17-21
Juan 4: 43-54
