all the good the Lord has done for me? |
What is Planned Giving?
A planned gift is a voluntary gift of any kind in any amount. It is one to which youve given much consideration, in light of your overall financial and estate plan.
Many forms of planned gifts can be arranged between you and the Diocese of Gary, your parish or school. Others, such as those made through a Will or Trust, require the expertise of an attorney. Some planned gifts may also require assistance from a financial professional.
How is Planned Giving Related to Stewardship?
Stewardship is grounded in the belief that God gives us everything we have and are, and calls us to use those gifts in the building of His Kingdom. As stewards of Gods gifts, we have a responsibility to pass on to future generations the blessings we have received in this life. After we take care of our loved ones, leaving a portion of our estate to our parish, school or the Diocese of Gary should receive careful consideration. There are three pillars to Planned Giving:
PLANNING Planning is the heart of stewardship. It means giving the right amount to the right cause at the right time.
GIVING Planned giving is very specific giving. It is giving gifts from our assets it is stewardship for our Church.
RECEIVING Planned gifts can provide a tax reduction or an income for life.
