The Pastoral Associate is a professional minister who shares the overall care of the parish with the pastor and a pastoral team. Some Pastoral Associates are generalists, while others have specific responsibilities.
The Liturgy Coordinator works with the pastor to administer all areas of worship and music. The Liturgy Coordinator is also often the music director.
The Director of Religious Education is responsible for overseeing, organizing, creating and administering all areas of faith formation in a parish.
The Youth Minister is responsible for the development of programs for and with the youth of the parish.
The Director of the Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults is responsible for developing and directing a team that will lead catechumens and candidates into full participation with the community of the faithful.
The Director of Adult Formation works with the pastor and parish staff to provide a comprehensive formation program to help adults grow in their faith.
The Parish Business Manager is trained in theology and business, and is responsible for the administrative tasks delegated to him/her by the pastor.
The role of the deacon is to express the needs and desires of the Christian community, and be a person of service, or diakonia. The deacon is ordained for the diocese, not for a particular parish.* |
