Description of Superintendent Position

The superintendent of Catholic Schools is responsible to the Bishop of the Diocese for the implementation of the Catholic philosophy, goals and objectives of the Office of Catholic Schools in the service of Catholic schools and the Diocese of Gary.

The Superintendent of Catholic Schools exercises leadership and provides expertise to enable the Office of Catholic Schools' staff to deliver quality services to schools so that the schools can operate in the most efficient and effective manner.

The Superintendent exercises leadership and provides expertise to enable communities to develop schools based on a Gospel vision which fosters a Catholic environment and provides quality religious education and academic programs.

Relationships 

The Superintendent of Schools is directly accountable to the Bishop.
Collaborates with other Program Directors.
