The Liturgical Institute of the Diocese of Gary provides an environment in which participants may study liturgy in depth. The curriculum involves information, days of formation, and hopefully spiritual transformation. Participants begin to be immersed in the study of liturgy. This in turn strengthens participants in liturgical ministry, in order that they may be formed to "do" the work of liturgy. This work, or ministry, may be serving on a liturgical commission or providing training for liturgical ministers or by ministering in music.
Through the comprehensive
study participants will be prepared with the education, formation and experience
to minister well, though possession of the certificate does not guarantee
ministry placement in a parish.
