FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE / DECEMBER, 2007
Eleven young adults have made the Diocese of Gary one of their stops on a
nine month tour of the country, leading Catholic retreats for young people
in at least eleven different states.
NET Ministries (NET
stands for National Evangelization Teams) is headquartered in St. Paul,
Minnesota. Each year, NET trains about one hundred young adults in faith
formation, evangelization and retreat ministry skills to serve on NET
ministry teams. The teams are then commissioned to travel to dioceses
across the country, leading high-energy retreat experiences to bring the
Gospel to youth.
One of nine teams were sent to the Diocese of Gary, and the team will be
in the area from December 6-15. Team members range in age from 18-28, and
came to NET from all over the country, including California, Nevada,
Minnesota, New York, and Texas. (For more information on this NET Team,
