Crisis Lines

If you find a teen in need of help, turn to the resources below.  Trained operators are available 24 hours a day with a vast array of resources to suit your need and work toward solving the problem.  The services are free or low-cost, confidential, and the calls are toll-free.

If the crisis involves the abuse of a child/teen (click here for info, including Indiana state laws), please immediately call Child Protection Services at 800-800-5556.

If you have a teen or family in need of counseling, the OYYA can recommend a licensed counselor. Contact Kevin Driscoll at 769-9292 x229.

Teens facing problems such as: abuse, neglect, runaway, drugs, suicide, family or relationships are a phone call or a click away from a trained and reliable source or help. Covenant House’s Nineline is free and confidential. It also offers guidance for persons caring for a teen faced with heavy issues (parents, youth ministers, etc.). Nineline: 1-800-999-9999 / www.nineline.org . Non-gathered ministry strategy: Give teens in your parish a contact list of persons to call when they need help.
